With Arsene Wenger announcing earlier this week that he will be stepping down at the end of the season, we take a look at the African players that have had the chance to work under him at Arsenal. In total 42 African players have had the honor of working with the Frenchman during his tenure at the London based club.

Some of these players have represented non-African nations at youth level but were never called up at senior level thus making them eligible to play for their countries of origin in Africa. Unfortunately no Kenyan has played for Arsenal though Arsene Wenger has been a long term admirer of Kenyan star Victor Wanyama who turns out for rivals Tottenham.
