Mathare United midfielder Whyvonne Isuza, the 2016 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) Midfielder of the Year first runners up is on the verge of joining league giants AFC Leopards ahead of the 2017 campaign.

Reports have been rife that Isuza and his Mathare United counterpart Robinson Kamura will be donning the blue and white jersey in the 2017 season, a statement that hasn’t been denied nor confirmed by the AFC Leopards chairman Mr. Dan Mule.

Mule, speaking to Soka was full of praise for Isuza but opted for the coy approach, saying it was not noble to talk about a player who is still in the Mathare United books.

“Isuza is a good player but I can’t talk about signing him now because he still in the Mathare United books. I can’t refute nor confirm the claims but let’s see what happens after this month,” Mule told Soka.
