AFCON 2017: Gor Mahia defender starts for Burundi against Senegal

Gor Mahia defender Karim Nizigiymana has been named in Burundi's first eleven to take on Senegal in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations Group K qualifier against  to be played at the Prince Louis Rwagasore Stadium  on Saturday 4 June.

The Swallows are ranked second in Group K with six points after four rounds of matches, six behind leaders Senegal. Victory over the Teranga Lions will reduce the gap between them to three points and give them a lifeline in their quest to qualify for Gabon 2017.

This will be the first qualifier that assistant coach Olivier Niyungeko will be in charge after German tactician Ait Abdel was dismissed by the Burundian FA.
