A lone strike by off season signing Enock Agwanda is all that home team Bandari needed to stop promoted Nakumatt FC 1-0 at the Mbaraki grounds, Mombasa in their opening Kenyan Premier League (KPL) match on Saturday 11 March, 2017. 

Agwanda, roped in from Gor Mahia in January struck four minutes to half time, a goal that stood the test of time to the end against the shoppers who were playing their first ever Premier league tie following their promotion from the National Super League (NSL).

The Mombasa game was one of two in the opening day of the 2017 season besides a Tusker - Nzoia Sugar game at the Afraha Stadium that the latter won a resounding 5-2.
