Bandari FC compounded bottom placed Mt. Kenya United's misery with a 2-1 win over the Anthony Mwangi coached side in a Kenyan Premier League (KPL) match staged at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru on Saturday 12th January.

Mt. Kenya finished the game a man down after keeper Lucas Indeche was dismissed shortly after the restart for denying William Wadri a clear goal scoring opportunity.

The Dockers went ahead in the 19th minute through Abdallah Hassan who fired home on the rebound after Lucas Indeche had denied William Wadri with a superb save.

Both teams had chances to score more goals in the game but fluffed, Bandari took a narrow lead to the break.

Indeche red card

Five minutes after the restart, things went from bad to worse for Bandari when keeper Lucas Indeche was given his matching orders for fouling Wadri inside the area. A penalty was awarded which the Ugandan forward converted to double the Dockers' advantage.

Despite being a man down, Mt. Kenya continued to threaten the Dockers with veteran Moses 'Dube' Odhiambo being their main attacking outlet.

Nyakan strike

Four minutes from time, the hosts pulled a goal back courtesy of Brian Nyakan. The forgotten striker's shot took a huge deflection beating Farouk Shikalo to ensure a nervy ending to the game.

The win keeps Bandari at second on the log as Mathare United also won on the road to Tusker.
