Danny Sserenkuma, Shaban Kenga and Musa Mudde goals helped Bandari FC to a 3-0 win over Muhoroni Youth in a Kenyan Premier League (KPL) affair staged at the Mbaraki Sports Club on Saturday 1 April.
After a balanced proceedings in the earlier exchanges, Muhoroni Youth striker Venval Thomas was the first to go into the referees’ book as early as the tenth minute after deliberately handling the ball when trying to connect a Yusuf Mohammed cross.
Danny Sserenkuma put the home side into the lead on the 33rd minute after capitalizing on a Muhoroni Youth defensive lap; a 1-0 lead they held on to going into the half time break.

Muhoroni Youth Changes
The visitors reacted at the start of the second half with a double change, Coach James Omondi throwing in Mohammed Mwachiponi and Daniel otieno for Venval Thomas and Robert Odhiambo respectively. The changes seemed to have given the visitors the needed impetus going forward with Musa Mude entering into the referee's’ book following a foul on Robert Mudenyu.
The short storm provided by the boys in yellow soon weathered with winger Shaban Kenga brilliantly beating the offside trap to send an effort which was diverted in by Faina Jacobs into his own net for Bandari’s second much to the amazement of the Muhoroni defence. Musa Mudde was to wrap up the goal fest for the home side with a goal deep into the stoppage time.
Kakamega Homeboyz 1-1 Posta Rangers
In another match of the afternoon at the Mumias Complex, Kakamega Homeboyz rallied from a goal down to hold visiting Posta Rangers to a 1-1 draw. Joseph Mbugi gave the mailmen the lead at the hour mark but the home side restored parity through David Okoth fourteen minutes from time.
