AFC Leopards striking option is expected to be boosted by the return to fitness of striker Paul Kiongera who has missed the club’s last three outings with an injury.

After laboring to a 1-0 win over Muhoroni Youth in week five of the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) action, head coach Stewart Hall while speaking to the official league portal intimated that Kiongera, whom he termed valuable to the team is expected to be available in the club’s next tie against Thika United.

On the Muhoroni game, Hall said they did not play their best game since they had to tinker with their style of play due to the injuries the club was facing.

“We are still not where we need to be. Even though we won, we didn’t play our best game and that is because we have had to change our play due to the numerous injuries we have had.

“Two of the players should be fit by the end of this week including Paul Kiongera, who is such an experienced and valuable player to this team, so I hope for better results in the coming games, if you get what I mean,” Hall remarked.

The win against Muhoroni Youth saw the leopard climb to fifth on the log on ten points; two points below leaders and rivals Gor Mahia.
