Kenyan Premier League (KPL) leaders Gor Mahia have received a timely boost with the return of striker Jacques Tuyisenge from injury ahead of their week 12 clash with Thika United.

The Rwandese striker, who last featured for his club in their week six goalless draw against Tusker FC, has scored three goals so far this season and his return is definitely a big boost for the former champions.

The development was confirmed by Gor Mahia's organising secretary Ms Judith Nyangi who revealed Tuyisenge has been cleared by the medical team.

"We dont have any injury worries ahead of the Thika United game with Tuyisenge having been declared fit to play. He has been out with a slight knee injury and the coach felt it was wise not to rush him back in the team in our last games. He has been cleared by the medical team and will will be available for selection in our next match," Nyangi said.

Brace

Tuyisenge last goal this season came in week three against Western Stima but will hope he can replicate his last season's performance against Thika United where he scored a brace to hand his side a 2-1 win.

The game against Thika United is slated for Sunday 21 May at the Nyayo Stadium.
