Ex Spedag foward confident ahead of TWPL season debut

After completing her move to the Tanzania Women Premier league side Kigoma sisters FC from the Kenya Women Premier league side Spedag FC, Lilly Awour has said she is happy at her new club and is looking forward to a fruitful season as the league kicks off. 

The former Harambee starlets striker also told Soka that she was working hard so as to help her team finish top. Commenting on the league; she remarked that it will be a competitive league, and she believes that her team has what it takes to grab top honours since it comprises of good players.

"I would like to put my best foot forward this season and score many goals for my team, since I know that it will be the only way to weave my way back to the national team. We have trained hard, and it feels good to know that the long awaited league will finally kick off. So far I am comfortable but I had a little challenge at fast fitting in the intensive training, but now it's a norm." She said 

The 19 year old pacy forward, will be the third Kenyan foreign based player to feature in the Tanzania Women Premier league after former Mombasa Railways midfielder Grace "Amie" Sayo, and Mwanahalima Mpunga who played for Dar es salaam's Sayari FC in 2009. 

Awour's team Kigoma Sisters FC will kick of their campaign against Panama FC on Tuesday 1 November, at the Tanganyika Stadium.
