Former AFC Leopards head coach Luc Eymael has completed a move to Oman Professional League side Al Nasr Club as the head coach on a deal that will see him guide the club for the remainder of the 2015/16 season, which ends in the next six months.
The Belgian born tactician put pen to paper on Monday 9 November at the club offices and will be in charge of the Salalah city based side until May 2016 with Hatem Belhouchet his assistant.
Confirming the development, Eymael, said his immediate target is to ensure the team finishes in the top three in the 2015/16 season. Currently the team sits tenth on the 14-team log on six points from as many games.
“I can now say I have officially joined Al Nasr Club. My contract is valid till the end of the league, that’s, end of May next year. My immediate target is to ensure the team finishes in the top three and I look forward to the new challenge,” he told Soka.
The team, home to Kenyan international midfielder Jamal Malo Mohammed, plays its home matches at the 12,000 capacity Al-Saada Stadium.
The 56-year-old Eymael joins the side having formerly handled Tunisian outfit JS Kairouanaise, Rayon Sports of Rwanda and AFC Leopards in a span of two years. He has also worked in DR Congo and Gabon coaching AS Vita Club and Missile FC respectively.
