The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has picked match officials for the weekend’s CAF Confederations Cup and Champions League assignments for Kenya’s representatives, Kariobangi Sharks and Gor Mahia.
Sharks play host to Ghanaian opposition Asante Kotoko in the Confederations Cup on Saturday while Gor Mahia will have a date with Nigerian side Lobi Stars a day later, with both matches set to be staged at the Moi International Sports Center, Kasarani.
Sharks - Kotoko
At the center in the Sharks – Kotoko clash will be Pierre Ghislain Atcho from Gabon, assisted by Theophile Vinga while Angelo Malekou Mambana will the second assistant, with Isidore Carlos Nze completing the list of four officials from Gabon, serving in the game as the reserve referee.
The match is slated for 3pm EAT kickoff on Saturday 15 December and tickets for the same will be trading at Kshs 500 for the VIP tier and 200 for the other tiers.
Maxwell Mtonga from Malawi and Songuifolo Yeo from Ivory Coast will be the Match Commissioner and Referee Assessor respectively.
Gor Mahia - Lobi Stars
The Gor Mahia game will be manned by Tunisian referee Slim Belkhouas, assisted by his countrymen, Khalil Hassani and Jridi Faouzi as the first and second assistant referees respectively while another Tunisian, Nasrallah, Jaouadi will be the reserve referee and Mike Letti from Uganda will be the Match Commissioner.
The Gor Mahia – Lobi stars clash is slated for Sunday 16 December starting 4pm EAT and the tickets will go for Kshs 500 for the VIP section and 200 across the other tiers.
Each of the four teams will have a 15 – minute session with the media ahead of their matches, with Sharks first at 10am EAT on Friday at Kasarani before paving way for Kotoko at 3pm EAT at the same venue.
Gor Mahia will have an open session on Saturday at 10am EAT at Kasarani then Lobi Stars will have their session at 5pm at the same venue on Saturday.
