Gor Mahia head coach Marcelo Ze Maria has been named the best coach for the month of March in an event held at the club’s training ground in Camp Toyoyo on Wednesday 19 April.
Ze Marialead his side to two wins in the two games they played against league debutants Kariobangi Sharks and Zoo Kericho; the wins coming with a 3-1 and a 1-0 win respectively.
The onus was on the Brazilian to win the award after his competitors for the same accolade, Posta Rangers’ Sammy Pamzo Omollo, Nzoia Sugar’s Bernard Mwalala and Bandari's Paul Nkata all picking one win and a draw in their opening two games in the same month.

This is the second time the ex Inter Milan player is bagging the accolade after receiving his first gong in October 2016. The win comes with a cheque of Ksh 75,000 and a personalized trophy.
Gor Mahia currently sits a top of the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) log with twelve points after managing four wins and one loss; the latter inflicted by Western Stima in week four of league action. They take on champions Tusker FC in their next league tie in what proves to be the game to watch in week d=six of league action.
