Goals from either half by Innocent Wafula and Godfrey Walusimbi were enough to hand Gor Mahia a 2-1 win over Bandari FC in a week seven Kenyan Premier League (KPL) tie held at the Mbaraki Sports Club on Wednesday 26 April.

Innocent Wafula making his first start for Gor Mahia this season was to give the visitors the lead in 12th minute after connecting well to a Godfrey Walusimbi pass to hit his effort past Joseph Okoth in the Bandai goal.

The home side, despite the setback, tried to rally back into the game with Danny Sserenkuma almost leveling scores minutes to the break but Bonface Oluoch raced past his line to clear the danger forcing the game to a 1-0 scoreline heading into the halftime break.
