Gor Mahia head coach Dylan Kerr is focused on getting the team back to winning when they tackle Posta Rangers on Friday 10 August in a Kenyan Premier League (KPL) match that will be staged at Moi Stadium in Kisumu.

The league leaders suffered their first loss of the season on Tuesday 7 August when they took on Bandari FC at Mbaraki Sports Club. Kerr says their focus is no longer on the 1 - 2 defeat but fully on picking a positive result against the Mailmen

“Whatever happened in Mombasa is now history. We are not thinking about past results, ours is to achieve the best in our next match against Posta Rangers – that’s where our focus are on,” Kerr told the official Gor Mahia website.

Well prepared

His assistant Zedekiah Zico Otieno believes the side is well prepared for Posta's test and notes that they will be hoping to do well just like in their previous matches.

“It’s a match like any other and our aim will be the same like in many previous matches – to do our best and good results. We have prepared well for the task,” Zico noted.

This will the third meeting in 2018 between the two sides; the first meeting saw Gor Mahia win 5-0, and they made it two in two with the 3-1 win as they met in the FKF SportPesa Shield.

As they meet on Friday, Posta will be chasing for the first ever league win over Gor Mahia since February 2011 where Posta won 3-0.
