Tanzanian champions Simba Sports Club are in the risk of losing out two key players in one go should word that forwards Emmanuel Okwi and Shiza Ramadhan Kichuya are on their way to Belgium come true.
The club which currently sits third on the 20 team Tanzanian Premier League log, have released a statement through communications officer Hajji Manara that further adds truth to the news that two of their most reliable players could be on their way out.
According to Manara, they cannot hold back any player wishing to make a move abroad.
''No club can prevent a player from making a move to wherever they prefer. For us especially, we give players the opportunity to exercise that right whenever a chance present itself. The most important thing is to follow the laid down protocols of the transfer rules,'' Manara is quoted by a Tanzanian tabloid.
After eight matches in the domestic campaign, the club sits third, four points behind leaders Azam FC who have played two matches more. Their arch rivals Young Africans, are second and two points ahead with a match less than Simba.
Their most recent outing saw them record a buoyant 3-0 win against Stand United, Shiza on the assist and Okwi with a piece from the three goals scored. Most notably for Okwi, a much-traveled man, he scored a brace in the International break against Lesotho. the 25 year old has previously played for Etoile du Sahel and Swedish side SönderjyskE.
21 year old Shiza has only played for Mtibwa Sugar in the Tanzanian top flight.
