Kenya's Harambee Starlets have been placed in Pool B of the African Women Cup of Nation set for Accra Ghana from November 17 to December 1.
Kenya have been placed alongside defending champions Nigeria, South Africa, and Zambia. Pool A has hosts Ghana, Algeria, Mali, and Cameron.
Nigeria are the most successful side in the competition having won 10 titles since 1991. In 2016 they were in the same pool with Kenya and they beat Kenya 4-0 to proceed to the knock out stage where they beat South Africa 1-0 in the semis and Cameroon 1-0 to win the title.
Cameroon and Nigeria will be making their 13th appearance in the competition while Ghana and South Africa are in their 12th year. Mali, Algeria, Zambia will be featuring in the competition for the seventh, fifth and third time respectively.
Kenya will be playing in the competition for the second time in a row after Equatorial Guinea got disqualified for fielding an ineligible player. The Matches will be staged in Accra's Sports Stadium that has a 40000 capacity and Cape Coast Stadium that holds 15000 people
