Huge wins for Kayole, Oserian as Kisumu All Starlets extend fine home run

Oserian Ladies and Kayole Starlet were the biggest winners in the Kenya Women's Premier League over the weekend after notching up twin 6-2 wins on the road against Vihiga Leeds and Soccer Queens respectively.

Starlet especially, had to dust themselves from their last encounter against Oserian to fire six past hosts Soccer Queens at the Ruiru Grounds. Oserian Ladies, who had fallen back from the chasing pack in the table standings, also made the most of their Mumias trip to climb 6th on 36 points.

Starlet are still out of the top half- 12th position in the 16-team log with 20 points.

In Kisumu, a resurgent Kisumu All Starlets fired 5 goals past Mathare United Women FC, three of the goals coming from Harambee Starlets forward Bertha Omita. Starlets, who have won all their matches at home since the second leg began, enter the top half of the table standings for the first time this season and also do justice to their goal difference. They now only owe the league two goals. Mathare meanwhile, drops to tenth. They managed a goal against Starlets.

Other winners of the weekend were Trans Nzoia Falcons who got the better of Wadadia FC winning 2-0. Vihiga Leeds' 3-1 Saturday win over Mathare United Women also keeps them just above the drop zone on 17 points, third from last.

Falcons maintain second position- just four shy of leaders Vihiga Queens who have a game in hand.
