Speaking to soka in an interview, Nafula who assisted four goals in the match expressed her delight after a perfect debut, citing that she would like replicate the same show in their next matches.

"I am happy that we put up a good show in our first match. It is a great opportunity for us and we look forward to even better performances in our upcoming matches," she said.

Engesha have been ever-present in Harambee Starlets 2018 campaign that saw them beat Uganda in the on a 1-0 aggregate in the Africa Women Cup of Nations Qualifiers. They featured in the Equatorial Guinea clash as well as the CECAFA Championship clash where they finished fourth. However, Mary Kinuthia and Christine Nafula missed out on the regional tournament but have had outstanding performances at Gaspo and Makolanders FC respectively.
