After a week with his national team Uganda Cranes in their two legged 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Egypt, former Gor Mahia and Tusker FC midfielder Khalid Aucho has been linked with a move to South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) giants Orlando Pirates.
Aucho has been clubless since parting ways with Serbian Side Red Star Belgrade in June 2017 where he had been for six months; the club having loaned him to OFK Boegard; the latest links to Pirates, coached by former Uganda head coach Milutin Micho Sredojevic, being confirmed by South African football portal Kick Off.

"Aucho is heading to Pirates, Micho was in Uganda this week. He is going to just sign. He is a free agent. Remember Ivica Stankovic is acting as his agent, and Ivica is the agent to Micho," a source intimated to the Kick Off.
If the deal goes through then Aucho will be in South Africa for his second spell after spending the first half of the 2016/17 PSL season with Baroka FC; a club, he joined after leaving Gor Mahia.
The combative midfielder had a trial stint with Scottish Division One side Dundee United towards the end of the month of August. He had at the start of 2016 attended trials at Aberdeen FC but wasn’t successful after which he signed for Baroka.
