Former Ulinzi Stars striker John Makwatta has been handed the all clear to join newly promoted Zambian Super League side Buidcon FC following the issuance of his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) by the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) to their Zambian counterparts on Wednesday 26 April, 2017.

Makwatta, the 2016 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) top scorer with 15 goals joined his Kenyan mate Clifton Miheso at the club at the end of March on a two year deal soon after a failed attempt to officially transfer to Slovakia second tier side FC Nitra FC.

Failed to convert chances

The green light for Makwatta to feature for Buildcon hands coach Jadrane Hichan an immediate option upfront as the team prepares to face Power Dynamos on Monday 1 May.

Thus far the team is yet to score after being held to goal less draws in their three games into the new season against Lusaka Dynamos, Kabwe Warriors and Real Nakonde.

In the last game against Dynamos, the team created six chances - four on target but failed to convert those chances to goals and it is hoped that Makwata will show the side how its done.
