KPL to hold medical workshop ahead of 2018/19 season

Kenyan Premier League Medical and Fitness Committee will hold a medical workshop for medical staff and Physios from the 18 top tier teams on Friday 2 November. 

 The workshop which will be hosted at KPL's headquarters in Westlands will be led by KPL's medical and fitness Chairman Dr. Andrew Suleh. In the workshop, the various topics will be discussed with general injuries management and nutrition for players expected to be part of what will be covered.

35 days 

 The event comes 35 days before the 2018/19 season which is set to commence on Saturday 8 December. The first match of the new season will see the winner of the playoffs clash between Ushuru and Nakumatt FC will tackle Sofapaka FC in an early kick-off clash that will be staged at Ruaraka Sports Grounds.

 Four matches will kick off at 3 PM with one of the top clashes being the clash between 2018 Champions Gor Mahia and Runners-up Bandari FC set for Mbaraki Sports.


 AFC Leopards will welcome Kariobangi Sharks at Machakos Stadium while Mathare United will entertain Chemelil Sugar at Moi Stadium Kasarani. 

KCB will travel to Bukhungu to play Kakamega Homeboyz. Three more matches will be on Sunday. Match day two will be on 15 and 16 December while match day three will be on 22 and 23 December. The final matches of the year 2018 will be staged on 29 December.
