The Kenyan Premier League (KPL) comes to conclusion on Saturday 18 November with all the 18 teams set for action on the day, all matches starting at 2pm EAT; on the same day, Gor Mahia will be officially crowned the 2017 champions. Four players are suspended and one match only will be aired live on Bamba Sport.
The clash pitting deposed champions Tusker, away to Ulinzi Stars at the Afraha Stadium will be the only one aired live.
Kakamega Homeboyz forward Wycliffe Ochomo, AFC Leopards midfielder Victor Majid, Benjamin Oketch of Chemelil Sugar, Villa Oramchan of Western Stima and Mathare United’s Levis Opiyo will be locked out.
Oketch and Oramchan have five yellow cards each and as their teams face off at the Chemelil Complex, they can only watch from afar. Majid also has five yellow cards and will miss his team’s away game against Muhoroni Youth at the Mumias Sports Complex.
Ochomo picked a red card in his team’s last game, against Gor Mahia and will be locked out of the game against Nzoia Sugar at Sudi Stadium.
Opiyo still out
Mathare United’s Opiyo will be serving the second of his two match ban when the team takes on Posta Rangers at Camp Toyoyo. The 2008 KPL champions will however be welcoming back the youthful David Owino after his two – match ban.
Tusker FC and Gor Mahia will also be welcoming back key men; the Brewers will have skipper James Situma back after a three – match ban and Musa Mohamed will also be back to skipper Gor Mahia after a two – match suspension.
