Machakos double-header live as 2018-19 KPL season kicks off

The Kenyan Premier League 2018-19 season kicks off this weekend with the double header set for Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Sunday 9th December aired live on television.  

The first of the two matches will see Mt. Kenya United (formerly Nakumatt FC) take on Sofapaka starting from 2 pm before paving way for the second match between AFC Leopards and Kariobangi Sharks at 4:15 PM.

Champions Gor Mahia will be active right on day one with the very side that ended their 2018 unbeaten run in the league Bandari FC.  The crunch Saturday clash will be flanked by three other matches as Mathare United host Chemelil Sugar, KCB travel to Kakamega while Posta Rangers welcome Western Stima back to the top flight.

This will be week one of 2018-19 Kenyan Premier League season with five more matches scheduled for Sunday 9th December.

Mathare United vs Chemelil Sugar – MISC – 3 PM

Bandari vs Gor Mahia – Mbaraki – 3 PM

Kakamega Homeboyz vs KCB – Bukhungu – 3 PM

Posta Rangers vs Western Stima – Afraha – 3 PM

Sunday 9th December

Mount Kenya United vs Sofapaka – Machakos – 2 PM

Zoo FC vs Nzoia United – Kericho – 3 PM

Sony Sugar vs Tusker FC – Awendo 3 PM

Vihiga United vs Ulinzi Stars – Bukhungu– 3 PM

AFC Leopards vs Kariobangi Sharks – Machakos - 4:15 PM
