Thika United midfielder, James Kinyanjui has joined Kenyan Premier League (KPL) side Mathare United on a three-year deal.

The attacking midfielder has been training with the Slum Boys for weeks now after opting to ditch relegated Thika United after two seasons with side.

An alumnus of Nyandarua's Passenga Secondary School, Kinyanjui is known for his dribbling skills and defense-splitting passes.

His capture has been confirmed by Mathare United through a statement posted on their social media pages.

Third signing

"James Kinyanjui is our third signing this transfer window. He joins on a three-year deal from Thika United. A gifted ball player, Kinyanjui is a valuable addition to our attack," read the statement.

Kinyanjui becomes Mathare's third signing after Kevin Kimani who returned to the club on Wednesday and young midfielder Arnold Onyango who's a former Upper Hill Secondary School player.
