A total of nine matches in the National Super League (NSL) have been lined up in the 19th week of action running between Saturday 22 July and Wednesday 26 July across the country, with two set for Saturday, four on Sunday and three on Wednesday.

Top of Table Clash

A mouth watering clash at the top of the table pitting Vihiga United and Ushuru FC on Wednesday is the stand out tie of the round; the game comes just weeks after the two faced off in the GOtv Shield round of 32, Vihiga emerging tops.

Vihiga, with the meanest defence in the league - having conceded seven in 17 matches - holds a one-point advantage over fourth placed Ushuru, who are the league's second best scorers with 29 goals. The game will be the second of a double header at Camp Toyoyo as fellow title chasers Wazito FC face Kenya Police in the day's early kickoff.

Nairobi Derby

The Nairobi derby pitting Nairobi Stima against Nairobi City Stars, and played in Naivasha, will kick off the weekend activity. City Stars are eighth on the log and and 13 points adrift of their hosts Stima who are currently tied at the top with Vihiga United and Wazito FC all on 38 points.

Both teams secured wins in their previous fixtures and will be looking to continue in the same trend. Stima forward Victor Omune has been in fine form, scoring eight goals so far and the Ruaraka based team will be banking heavily on the former AFC Leopards man in their quest to pull clear at the summit.

Saturday's other game will see Agro Chemical take on Nakuru All Stars in Chemelil. Both teams fell victim to GFE 105 in their previous outings. Agro are 16th, five points above the relegation zone.

On Sunday, KCB, another promotion chaser will hope to close in on the leading pack when they travel to Mbaraki to play Modern Coast Rangers. The Bankers currently sit fifth on the log with 34 points while Modern Coast are 13th with 21 points.
