FC Talanta has gone three matches without a loss in the ongoing FKF National Super League, a fate that has left Head Coach John Kamau purring.

Kamau has however called for more hard work from his boys as the league gains momentum. Talanta - who beat Nakuru AllStars 3-2, Kibera Black Stars 2-0, on Sunday 2 April edging Kenya Police 2-1 at Camp Toyoyo grounds thanks to goals from Brian Okeyo and Kevin Ndung’u with Eric Mmata getting a consolation for Police.

“We have worked more on the buildup and it was evident it paid off against Police. Building from the back opens up our opponent enabling us to create more chances as we did against Police. I think going forward now we need to work on finishing off those chances.

“If we manage to score half of the chances we create then we shall be home and dry. I am however pleased with the tempo we managed to command in the game and possessively we were dominant. This is the way I want it slowly by slowly the fitness level is getting back on track but it’s a gradual process.

“In the last minutes we slowed down the tempo because of our fitness levels but with more days in training we shall kill it off so that we can enjoy fully our fixtures,” the former Thika United and Posta Rangers told Soka.

Talanta sits fourth on the 20-team table with ten points from six games. They next play KCB FC on Saturday 8 April at Camp Toyoyo.
