Match day seven of the National Super League (NSL) concluded on Sunday 18 March with three games being played.

Green Commandos savoured their first win of the season by thumping visiting Isibania 4-1 at the Bukhungu stadium.

A brace from Castro Lihanga and a goal each from Rodgers Matthew and Edwin Mwanzi saw Brendan Mwinamo's charges halt a three game losing streak and now climb off the relegation places into 16th with five points.

Matter of time

After the win, Mwinamo told Soka, "I am happy that we have gotten our first win. It will give the boys a lift after our past results.

"They have been working hard in training and during games. It was just a matter of time before the win came," he said.

Isibania on the other hand drop to eighth with 11 points after suffering their second defeat of the season.

Nakuru struggles

Elsewhere at the Camp Toyoyo, Nairobi City Stars dispatched debutants Kangemi AllStars by a solitary goal to move up to 14th, a place and point above the visitors.

It was Kangemi's fifth loss of the season as they continue to slip down the table after an impressive start.

In Kisumu, hosts Kisumu All Stars dispatched bottom side Nakuru AllStars 1-0 for their fourth win of the season that sees them move up to fourth on the standings with 14 points, same as  leaders Bidco United but with an inferior goal difference.

Nakuru on the other hand remain bottom with zero points after losing all of their seven matches thus far.
