Bouncing back from a 1-2 home loss to a newly promoted GFE 105 side, Vihiga United Coach Edward Manoah is a happy man after beating hosts Isibania FC by a 3-1 goal margin in a mid-week National Super League (NSL) encounter staged at the Awendo Green Stadium.

Giving his remarks on the match, Manoah who is playing catch up after his side was delayed by the Sports Disputes Tribunal (SDT) ruling said that his team needs to wake up and smell the coffee. He particularly noted that generally they are still not up to the task despite the win going by how he lost previously.

“I am happy that we got a win against Isibania but we are not at the level we would like to be yet. We also don’t want to keep giving excuses after losing matches, so I would say the previous loss was an eye opener because in that match against GFE we just did not click and we were totally outplayed,"

"Am glad the boys picked up pace and registered three points away against Isibania. We have to plan well for our next matches and focus on our objective of winning one match at a time.” he said.

Vihiga are currently 7th in the table standings with nine points while Isibania are ten spots below them after picking two points in their last five matches.
