Nakumatt FC will be hoping to extend the fine run in the National Super League (NSL) on Sunday 27 November when they come up against hosts Shabana at the Kericho Green Stadium.
In earlier fixtures the game was dated for Saturday 26 November but later planned for Sunday, and on the eve of the game Nakumatt are optimistic that when they parade their four game winning streak, the confidence will see them come out tops.
Will not underrate them
They are however cautious against the relegation threatened Shabana, for that exact reason, knowing their hosts will come down hard on them as thy seek to survive.
"We have had a fine run and counting on that to spur us in this game," stated club Secretary Albert Wesonga
"The far we have come we cannot compromise at this stage of the season but that does not mean we will underrate them because they are seeking survival. They are out to survive and they will pose a big challenge to us." he admitted
Heading to the game, Nakumatt sits fourth in the 20-team standings with 71 points from 35 outings, three and a point behind Kariobangi Sharks and Zoo FC of Kericho who are placed second and third, respectively.
Shabana is rock bottom with 16 points from 35 attempts and any dropped points from the Nakumatt clash on Sunday will see them head out to the third tier next season.
