NSL: Ushuru floors Palos as Bidco bags rare win

Ushuru FC consolidated fourth spot in the second tier National Super League (NSL) after knocking out Palos 3-0 in a round 17 tie played at Camp Toyoyo on Wednesday 12 July.

The taxmen carried a 2-0 cushion to the break before adding a third early in the second half for the comfortable win.

Benson Amianda scored a brace, his two on the day sandwiching one from George Oporia. 

Ushuru started the day at fourth with 31 points from 16 matches but the win sends them to the 34 point mark and within a point of leaders Vihiga United, Wazito and Nairobi Stima who are all on 35 points. Palos on their part maintained eighth spot with 23 points

At the Kipchoge Keino Stadium, Eldoret, home team GFE 105 hit visiting Agro Chemicals 1-0 .

Harambee Stars trialist Wakoli Zeka scored the lone goal in the tenth minute to see his side shoot from 11th to ninth with 23 points.

In other Wednesday games travelling Black Stars held host Modern Coast Rangers to a 2-2 draw at Mbaraki as a vastly revamped Bidco United ended a 13-game winless streak after hitting basement side MOSCA 1- 0 at the Thika Sub County Stadium to register only their second win of the season and their first since a 1-0 win over St. Joseph's on 30 March. 

Nairobi City Stars edged out Administration Police (AP) 2-0 at Camp Toyoyo in another game.
