NSL: Wins for GFE 105, Ushuru as Isibania denies Bidco

Eldoret's GFE 105 handed host FC Talanta a second season defeat after registering a 5-2 win in a second round National Super League (NSL) tie played at Camp Toyoyo on Saturday 11 March, 2017. 

Talanta, beaten 1-0 by Wazito in the their opening game last weekend went to the break trailing the promoted side 2-0.

Four goals by Wakoli Zeka

Wakoli Zeka was the toast for GFE as he scored four times - in the 12th, 38th, 56th and at the hour mark. Elvis Okusi topped up Zeka's scores with a fifth in the 81st minute. 

Talanta, who overhauled during the off season got their goals from George Bill and Kelvin Ndungu in the 58th and 63rd minutes, respectively. 

Bidco United 1 Isibania 1

In another tie , the first of two games played at the Thika Stadium, visiting Isibania FC surprised Bidco United by picking a 1-1 draw in their first ever second tier game. 

Bidco, handed a shock 3-1 defeat by Admin Police  (AP) in their opening game last weekend, went ahead in the 12th minute through Edwin Walumoli. 

Isibania however recovered to share the cake with a goal from Alex Sunga two minutes into the second half. 

Ushuru 1 Admin Police 0

In second game at the same Thika Stadium, relegated Ushuru stopped Admin Police 1-0 to start their journey for an immediate bounce back to the Premier League on a sound note. 

The Ken Kenyatta-coached side will have to thank former Sofapaka and Muhoroni striker Bebeto Lwamba whose lone strike in the 48th minute handed the taxmen a winning start in the second tier for the first time after after four years. 

The opening game on Saturday at the Afraha Stadium saw home team Police come from behind to tie 'visiting' Nakuru AllStars 1-1

The four Saturday games pave way for a similar number on Sunday.
