Posta Rangers stretched their unbeaten run into the season to five after a 1-0 win over Mathare United in a round five Kenyan Premier League match at the Thika Stadium on Monday 17 April.

A lone goal by former international Dennis Mukaisi in the 20th minute handed the Sammy Omolo-coached side the win, and with three new points Posta shoots to second spot with eleven points, one behind leaders Gor Mahia.

Five points

It was the Mathare's second straight home loss having gone down 2-1 to Sofapaka in early April.

The 2008 champions, now 13th with five points, went to the game with a 0-0 draw from Muhoroni as Rangers rode on a 1-0 win over Western Stima.

Up next for Rangers is a home game against Kariobangi Sharks on Sunday 23 April as Mathare United travel to face Ulinzi Stars on the same day.
