Kenyan Premier League (KPL) side Sofapaka FC will conclude its schedule of preseason friendly matches against National Super League (NSL) side Police FC.

The two sides will face off on Wednesday 31 January morning at the Eastleigh High School ground. This will be the third friendly match for Sam Ssimbwa’s side which has faced KCCA and Kangemi United previously in preparation for the 2018 campaign.

Against the Kangemi, Batoto Ba Mungu picked a 3-0 win while Ugandan giants KCCA held them to a goalless draw. Ssimbwa says the match will be used to correct mistakes witnessed during the KCCA draw.

“Although the team played well, there were a few frailties I noticed which need rectification. I want all the departments to click before we launch our campaign in the 2018 KPL,” Ssimbwa was quoted by Sofapaka.

New signings Emmanuel Opiyo, Steven Waruru, Elli Asieche, Ibrahim Kitawi, Yusuf Mohamed, Vitalis Akumu, Teddy Osok, and Burundian defender Moussa Omar are expected to feature in the match.

Kepha Aswani will stay out as he is nursing a knee injury picked in the preseason training.
