After slowing down Gor Mahia’s title campaign by playing out a barren draw in the mid-week Kenyan Premier League (KPL) clash in Awendo,  Sony Sugar FC continued their dazzling form by thumping Western Stima 3-0 in a match played at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru on Saturday 6 August.

Masoud Juma drew first blood t in the 16th minute to put the sugar millers ahead, the goal separating the two sides going into the breather. Victor Ademba grabbed a second in the 70th minute to hand Sony a two nil lead cushion and dim Western Stima’s light further. It was then Amos Asembeka who added salt to injury eleven minutes later by netting a third and sealing the goal tally and putting the match beyond Stima’s reach.

The Henry Omino coached side missed the services of Dennis Sikhayi who has accumulated five yellow cards in the league so far, are at 29 points in their tally while Sony move to 27 points after grabbing a win away from home.
