Spanish Coach Antonio Flores, who at one time showed interest in handling Kenyan Premier League (KPL) giants Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards, has landed a job in Lesotho.
Flores has been hired by Lesotho Premier League side Sandawana FC and in his first match, he registered a 2 - 1 win over Linara on Sunday 12 February at Maputsoe DiFA Stadium.
He has expressed desire to steer the team to the top five of the 14-team table. Sandawana is currently ranked eighth on the standings with 25 points from 17 rounds.
"Since I took over in February we have been training hard and we got off to a flying start by winning over the weekend against Linara. My aim is to hit the top three or five of the Lesotho Vodacom Premier League," he told Soka.
Sandawana next visits Likhopo on Saturday 18 February. Flores has formerly coached Ugandan side SC Villa as well as being in charge of FC Barcelona's Le Masia academy based in Algeria.
