Stars went into the match on the back of a 1-2 loss at the hands of Iraq and coach Stanley Okumbi had hoped for an improved performance against lowly ranked Thailand but it was not to be.
The former Mathare United tactician gave starting berths to Gor Mahia midfielder Kenneth Muguna, Vasalund IF midfielder Eric Johanna to partner lead striker Michael Olunga upfront; with Muguna's team mate and captain Musa Mohammed starting at the right back position in place of Posta Rangers' Simon Mbugua who had started in the game against Iraq.
Stars will now hope that the exposure gained will be helpful when they entertain Ghana in their next serious assignment in the 2019 AFCON qualifiers slated for March 2018.
