Tusker FC head coach Sam Timbe says wasted chances against Vihiga United as they faced off at Ruaraka made it hard for the side to back maximum points from the tie.
The two sides played to a goalless draw in a Kenyan Premier League match on Sunday afternoon. Timbe admitted that winning is always difficult especially whenever a team struggles upfront.
The Brewers registered the third clean-sheet of the season and the Ugandan tactician believes that his defence has improved. His focus is to sharpen the attack in preparation for the next league match.
“We wasted lots of chances and it is really hard to win a match when you do so. This is an area we really need to improve on. Our defense is doing well but our frontline should improve,” Timbe told KPL’s official portal.
The 2016 league champions struggles have seen them win two of the last 10 league games. The other eight games have ended in four draw and four losses. The results leaves them with 10 points in as many matches.
They are one point above the relegation Zone. Timbe will be hoping to return to winning ways as they face Zoo FC in Kericho ON Saturday.
