African footballing giants Al Ahly Cairo have agreed to offer their, centre back Ahmed Hegazi to English Premier League side West Bromwich Albion on a one year loan deal with an option to make the deal permanent for £3.5m.

The Baggies will pay a fee of around £1m for the loan move. The 26 year old started his career at Ismaily in 2009 before joining Fiorentina in 2012 and spent three years in Italy including a loan stint at Serie B outfit Perugia, he then terminated his contract and joined Al Ahly. Hegazi was instrumental in Egypt reaching the 2017 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) and also made it to the team of the tournament.

Juve on Szczesny

Former Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is poised to join Juventus from Arsenal for a fee of around £10m. The 27 year old was on loan at Italian club AS Roma where he kept most clean sheets in a season, 14. He is seen as the long term replacement of Gianluigi Buffon.

Arsenal already have Petr Cech and David Ospina in goal and Szczesny is seen as surplus considering the fallout he had with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger after the Southampton game two seasons ago. Szczesny has spent the last two seasons at Roma helping the club finish third and second successively.

Balde to join Inter

Senegalese international Keita Balde is on his way to Milan giants Internazionale from Lazio for a fee of around £20m.

The midfielder is reported to have left Lazio’s training camp ahead of his imminent move to Inter. He as well missed the Sunday 16 July friendly match against local side Auronzo di Cadore which Lazio won 9-1.

His contract runs till 2018 but he has declined to sign a new one with Lazio. He was previously linked with AC Milan, Juventus, Monaco and Chelsea and this latest turn further fuels the the reports of Ivan Perisic's impending move to Manchester United as Balde is seen as Perisic’s replacement.

Sevilla sign Nolito

Meanwhile, Sevilla have offered an escape route for Manchester City forward Nolito who will join the Spanish club for a fee believed to be £7.9m for three years. The 30 year old joined Manchester City last year from Celta de Vigo for £13.8m. He made 30 appearances for Man City scoring six goals with three of those coming in the first three games. Nolito will replace the already departed Vitolo who was sold to Atletico Madrid for a fee of £31.5.

Nolito was once quoted saying he hates Manchester weather, "I've learnt very, very little English. It's very hard. Just 'tomorrow', 'good morning', 'good afternoon' and a little more," he had said. "My daughter's face has changed colour – it looks like she's been living in a cave."

Barcelona sign Semedo

Spanish giants Barcelona have announced the signing of Benfica right back Nelson Semedo for a fee of €35m.

The right back has been likened to Barcelona legend Dani Alves due to his attacking style of play. The Portuguese played a key role in Benfica clinching the domestic treble.

Semedo played for Portugal at the Confederations Cup in Russia in June but his tournament ended when he was sent off in the third place play-off win over Mexico. He had been linked with a move to Manchester United prior to joining the Catalans.

The 23 year old couldn’t hide his blushes saying,Everybody wants to play at Barça, I’m no exception. I was very excited by the news, but I also understand the responsibility. “I am very happy and looking forward to starting with the team.”
