The prize of eliminating Russian side FC Rostov in the knock out stages of the UEFA Europa League has seen English Premier League giants Manchester United handed Belgium side Anderlecht in the last eight round of the competition; the draw having been done on Friday 17 March.

French Ligue One side Lyon who had outwitted AS Roma with a 5-4 aggregate will hope that they can continue with the same heroics when they take on Turkish side Besiktas who thrashed Olympiacos 4-1 in the second round of their tie despite playing with a man less in most part of the game after striker Vincent Aboubakar had been sent off; the tie having ended with a 5-2 aggregate after the first leg ended in a one all draw.
