Ushuru-Shabana in Match of the Week as NSL enters round 7

The 2018-19 National Super League (NSL) enters round 7 this coming weekend- Friday 11th to Saturday 12th with former top flight sides Shabana and Ushuru up against each other.

The Kisii side, perhaps the most hardly hit from round six action after going down 1-0 at home to fellow title contenders Wazito FC, take on an Ushuru side that despite not having the best start to the campaign- currently lies top of the division. Ken Kenyatta's men will be buoyed by their 2-0 win over Thika United in round 6 as they welcome Shabana at Ruaraka grounds from 3 pm on Friday.

Division newbies Eldoret Youth have only fallen once this season, and that was their first match in the second tier. A dicey trip however lies in store for the side as they travel to Nairobi to take on Wazito FC, a match scheduled for live coverage by Bamba Sports and begins at 2 pm at Jericho's Camp Toyoyo on Friday.

No win to their name this season but with a draw picked from their last outing means Kibera Black Stars will go for the kill against Bidco United when they host the Thika side at Toyoyo from 4:15 pm, another clash also set to be beamed live.  Earlier in the day, Kangemi All Stars will have squared it out with Coast Stima from 11 am meaning Toyoyo will play host to three matches- two of them live.

Matches away from the capital have the Green Commandos in search of a second win of the season, coming to Bukhungu however is Nairobi Stima, held to a barren stalemate in week 6 of the NSL. Commandos, who lie third from bottom in the 20-team log, have lost the other five of their opening six fixtures.

Elsewhere, Kisumu All Stars hope to carry their top form to South Nyanza when they face Migori Youth on Friday. Only one of the four sides yet to face a loss in the division, All Stars's recent 4-1 whipping of Kangemi All Stars serves as a huge morale boost to the south of the province where better tidings have always eluded them in the past.

Saturday will only see three matches played.
