Western Stima is set to miss the services of central defender Maurice Ojwang when the team takes on Kakamega Homeboyz in the Wednesday 13 September Kenyan Premier League (KPL) clash at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu.

Ojwang is out with injury and according to a post on the club’s official social media page, the match comes too soon for him.

After falling to Mathare United in their past league match courtesy of substitute Elijah Mwanzia's late winner, it will be interesting who coach Henry Omino will pick as replacement for Ojwang who has been a consistent starter in the Stima defense.

Ruled out

“Maurice Ojwang has been ruled out for tomorrow's match against Kakamega Homeboys. After picking an injury. Quick recovery,” read the post.

The Kisumu based side is placed 16th on 21 points in the KPL log, and will be hoping to bag maximum points at home against a Homeboyz side riding on good form and most recently, a 2-1 win over Thika United.

Homeboyz won the reserve fixture by a solitary goal.
