The Kenya Premier League (KPL) has scheduled five league games to be played on Saturday 7 October during the FIFA International weekend. Zoo Kericho and Nakumatt FC will get back to winning ways after being out of competitive action for more than two weeks after the Court of Appeal nullified an earlier ruling to strip them of their top-flight status.

Players Missing

Three matches were scheduled but after the court’s ruling, Nakumatt will now play struggling Muhoroni Youth while Zoo will be up against highflying Kakamega Homeboyz.

Most of the teams to play on Saturday will have players missing after they were called up to the national team for this season’s second international break.

Influential Duos

Kariobangi Sharks will be without two of their most influential players in midfielder Patillah Omotto and striker Masud Juma as they take on AFC Leopards at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos. Ingwe will also be without two of their own as the defensive duo of Robinson Kamura and Dennis Sikhyai have been included in coach Stanley Okumbi’s travelling party to Iraq.

Ulinzi Stars will also be without the services of current golden boot race leader Stephen Waruru and midfielder Samuel Onyango.
