The third edition of the Soka Fans Fun Day will be held at the City Stadium on Saturday 26th November. The theme for this year’s event is Every Fan Counts and the whole concept is to assure fans that the sanity is back in Kenyan Football and fans are assured of safety and a fun environment in the stadia.
A total of 16 teams, each comprising of fans, both male and female, from the various KPL teams, have already confirmed participation as well as several cooporate teams - Soka, FKF, Sports Kenya amongst others.
Online football portal soka.co.ke, who supported the initiative last year, will for the second year running be the headline sponsors for this year’s event.
“The last two editions have been successful and with a new dispensation, sanity is back in the local game and we hope to have as many fans as possible at the City Stadium on Saturday 26th November to celebrate the season that was,” Jeff Kinyanjui, the Event Manager said,
“Apart from the main seven-aside football tournament, we have lined up several other fun activities such futsal as well as live music and bouncing castles for kids to create a family fun day environment.
Hippos FC, Simbas, Mafisi, Biblas, Impalas, Swara, Nyati, Tigers, Rhinos, Ndovus, and Kenya Sport Journalists FC are some of the teams expected to battle it out during this year’s event.
