Harambee Stars defender David Calabar Owino scored at the death as Zesco United held Burundi’s Le Messager de Ngozi Prince to a 2-2 draw (4-2 aggregate) in a CAF Confederation Cup tie held at the Louis Rwagasore Stadium, Bujumbura on Saturday 18 March.
After a scoreless first half, the home side were took the lead in the 49th minute but Jesse Were restored parity in the 61st minute after heading in a throw from Fackson Kapumbu. The home team then capitalized on a shaky defense to take the lead with four minutes remaining on the clock. David Owino thought he had restored parity for but his effort was ruled for an offside two minutes later.

The Kenyan defender was however not to be denied in the added minute as he towered above the Ngozi defence to ensure a share of the spoils. Zesco will however do without the services of Idriss Mbombo in their next match after being booked in the game. The Kenyan trio including Anthony Akumu played in the entire game.
In the first leg at the Lewy Mwanawasa stadium, goals from Jackson Mwanza and Kondwani Mtongwa did the trick for the Zlatko Krmpotic boys.
