Kenyan midfielder Amos Ekhalie came off the bench as a second half substitute for his 201st appearance as a Mariehamn player when the team registered a 3-2 win over TPS in a Finnish to flight match played on Thursday 3 May at Wiklöf Holding Arena.

Ekhalie was introduced at the 65th minute as replacement to Gabriel Petrovic. TPS scored the opening goal in the 27th minute through Mika Aaritalo. Simon Silverholt would level the scores nine minutes later with a goal for Mariehamn.

Robin Sid found the back of the net in the 50th minute and added his second in the 79th minute for the second straight 3 - 2 win for Mariehamn.

Their visitors' second came in the 88th minute after Aaritalo netted his second goal of the day.

Out of danger

They victory sends Ekhalie's side out of the relegation zone; the team has seven points from the opening six league matches.

Ekhalie has so far made five appearances this season, playing 324 minutes. The midfielder has been with the side for the last nine years. In the period, he won the Soumen Cup in 2015 and the league title in 2016.
