Kenyan international on the mark as Zesco downs Leopards to go top

Harambee Stars forward Jesse Were is certainly not slowing down it seems, this looks clear especially after he again netted a goal in Zesco's 2-0 win over Nakambala Leopards in a Zambian Super League match staged at the Levi Mwanawasa Stadium on Sunday 6 August.

The Kenyan international opened the scoring from the spot eight minutes into the match, this is after h had been brought down in the penalty area. Kondwani Mtonga was the bearer of goal number two after nodding in a corner in the second half to seal the win for the hosts.

The results steered Zesco to the helm of the log ahead of second placed Napsa Stars who have 37 points out of 21 matches . Zesco have garnered 38 points from 18 matches, and will be keen on maintaining top spot as they prepare to face Lusaka Dynamos on Monday 14 August.
