2017 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) top scorer Masud Juma rose from the bench to help his side Dibba Al Fujairah to a 1-1 draw against Ajman in a League Cup tie hosted at the Al Fujairah Stadium on Thursday 20 December.
After a goalless first half, visitors Ajman had taken a surprising lead in the 62nd minute when Nashid Qadir Ali converted in his own net but Juma ensured the game ended square with a goal nine minutes from time after a sublime pass from Driss Fettouhi.
Juma had started the game on the bench but was introduced in the 33rd minute for Khameis Mohammed.
The goal puts the former Kariobangi Sharks man's tally to eight goals in 13 appearances in all competitions since joining the Arabian team in October 2018. Of the eleven appearances, Juma has started nine games and has come from the bench in two receiving only one yellow card in the process.
Despite the draw and Juma’s streak, Dibba struggles in league with the club currently sitting at the foot of the 14 league log with only four points to their name. Next for Juma and team mates is another Cup tie against Al Wahda on Saturday 29 December.
