Mixed results for Kenyan duo on Swedish debut

Kenyan international winger David King’atua made a league debut as his side, Oskarshamns AIK went down 2-0 to Angleholm in the opening match of the Swedish third division match on Monday 17 April at Anglavallen.

Oliver Fredin opened the scoring on the tenth minute and ten minutes later, Fredin found Andreas Karlsson to double the lead.

Oskarshamns will be seeking their maiden win in the 2017 campaign when they host Husqvarna on Saturday 22 April.

Elsewhere, Vasalund IF, home to another Kenyan international midfielder Eric Johanna played to a three-all draw away to Umea FC in another division three match staged at Energi Arena.

Simon Martensson scored a brace on the 16th and 36th minute as Bbakka Alexis also got onto the scoresheet on the 32nd minute.

Home game

Vasalund’s resurgence began on the 42nd minute with Ekin Bulut’s goal for a 3-1 scoreline at the break. Peter Magnusson and Patrick Amoah later netted on the 64th and 88th minutes respectively to end the tie 3-3.

Vasalund play their first home game on Sunday 23 April against Sandviken.
