Olunga set for Portugal camp

Djugardens IF, home to Kenyan International striker Michael Olunga will begin their 2016/17 season preparations with a pre season tour of Portugal where the team is scheduled to participate in the Atlantic Cup.

In the one week event that will kick off on Wednesday 1 February,  the Swedish side will face Hungarian top flight side Debrecceni VSC in the opening match before coming up against Croatian opponents HNK Rijeka in the second match that is slated for Saturday 4 February. 

Shaktar Donetsk

The competition will also have some of the biggest names in world football with Ukrainian giants FC Shaktar Donetsk among the teams that have confirmed participation. Other teams that will participate in the Cup include AFG Aarhus Aalborg BK,  FC Jablonec and Örebro SK. 

Russian giants FC Zenit Saint Petersburg were the winners of the last edition. 

Stefan, Home

The Atlantic Cup tournament is a pre-season event which brings together teams from Scandinavia, Northern and Central Europe and is organized by former Arsenal and Benfica star Stefan Schwarz and former Millwall keeper Brian Horne.
