Kenyan international left back Erick Marcelo Ouma enjoyed his fourth successive full game as Kolkheti Poti suffered a 1 – 2 defeat away to Torpedo Kutaisi in a Georgian National League match played on Sunday 19 March in Kutaisi.

The hosts, Torpedo took the lead on the 32nd minute through George Gurian who capitalized on Kolkheti goalkeeper Gabriel Tebidze’s mistake, the latter parrying the ball off a corner kick in front of the eventual goal scorer.

Sent off

The visitors pulled back with a perfect strike from Giorgi Janelidze on the 76th minute. Janelidze unleashed a free kick from the edge of the box into the back of the net to record his third goal in two consecutive matches.

Kolkheti were reduced to ten men in the 69th minute after Captain Omar Gogonaia was sent off for a second bookable offence for allegedly handling the ball whilst trying to stop Torpedo’s counter attack. Makharoblidze netted the winner in the 84th minute with a clinical header off a cross from the right flank.

Senegalese Boubacar Daffe’s attempt to level matters at the death was unsuccessful, the Poti based side losing their second away match to drop to seventh spot with three points from three games.

They next face Shukura on Saturday 1 April. The 20-year-old Ouma has so far featured in all the three league games, making four appearances in total.
